Stunning new Hackney scheme for 29 local first time buyers
Rosina Street E9 was designed by Hackney-based Waugh Thistleton Architects, and completed in March 2017. The Pocket flats were sold at a 20% discount to the surrounding market and the building is now home to 29 local first time buyers. It’s the second Pocket Living scheme in Hackney, and it’s one we’re especially proud of – when you look at these photos, you’ll see why!
Pocket Living was delighted to receive planning permission from Haringey council last week, for our most ambitious scheme to date, West Green Place N17.
This allows us to deliver 98 Pocket homes, which will be available to local first time buyers at a 20% discount, establishing another strong community of owner occupiers. West Green Place will also include with a new community centre for the benefit of the whole local community .

Mountearl Gardens SW16 is another great example of the way Pocket Living brings architectural quality to areas of London popular with first time buyers. We’re really proud of our latest scheme which made creative use of this site set on the corner of the handsome estate off Leigham Court Road. Previously home to old garages, we worked with HKR Architects to create a building comprised of one, two and three storey blocks that optimises the site without compromising the views of existing residents.
Tomorrow London goes to the polls to elect a new Mayor of London. The Mayor is responsible for making London a great place to live, work and visit. For example the Mayor is responsible for things such as policing, transport and the fire service. But significantly for first time buyers, the Mayor has important housing powers. The Mayor must produce a housing strategy to invest in London’s housing and to meet the needs of London’s growing population.
Being assembled this week are the lego-like units of our latest scheme in Lambeth, Mountearl Gardens SW16. These 32 homes in Streatham are replacing disused garages and will help local first time buyers get onto the property ladder.
Sunny afternoons were made for Chatsworth Road, the perfect place to grab a coffee and while away a few hours. This road in Hackney has an eclectic mix of independent shops, from antique dealers & home-ware boutiques to delis & green grocers. One of our favourite places to stop is Triangle.
